Mosquito Nets

Open windows and allow ventilation thanks to mosquito nets

Mosquito nets are functional and attractive screens for windows and doors made of dense mesh, which protect the interior of the building from insects.

TThe mosquito net is made from carbon fibre and is resistant to weathering and damage. DAKO offers six types of mosquito nets, allowing you to choose the right solution for your needs.

Frame‑mounted and roll‑up mosquito nets:

The DK-MO window frame-mounted mosquito net fulfils its task from early spring to autumn.

The mosquito net is frame-mounted to the window using rotary handles. The frames are made of an aluminium profile in two variants: with a “fin” adjacent to the window frame and without a “fin” with a brush seal. The second option is used when the window frame is completely built in or when a roller shutter is installed on the window. The system allows you to work with most window profiles. In autumn, the mosquito net can be dismantled, cleaned and stored until the next season in order to extend its life.

The door mosquito net, used for balcony doors, is mounted with hinges to the building façade or door frame.

It is equipped with a handle for opening and magnets to hold the net closed. The mosquito net also has a brush seal around the perimeter, which maximally protects the room from letting insects and dirt inside. In addition, there are self-locking devices mounted in the mosquito net, automatically closing the open mosquito net.

A roll-up mosquito net is a very aesthetic solution which, thanks to a small cassette, fits perfectly into any gap.

It is used in various types of windows. The guide rails and the spring mechanism allow you to roll up the mosquito net into the cassette or retract and hide it. Thanks to the use of a brake, the mosquito net is rolled smoothly into the cassette, which protects it against mechanical damage.

Mosquito nets are available in all types of roller shutter systems: front-mounted, top-mounted and flash-mounted.

The mosquito net is retracted into the interior of the roller shutter box by a spring. Due to the design of the system, the maximum size of roller blinds with integrated mosquito net is limited.

Sliding and pleated mosquito nets:

The DK-MP sliding frame-mounted mosquito net system is used in large, glazed recesses of balconies, terraces and winter gardens.

The mosquito net moves between the upper and lower guide rail. In the lower part, there is a roller with a mechanism that enables smooth adjustment of the angle of inclination of each unit. A wide selection of rail fittings allows you to mount the mosquito net in various ways, on almost all types of doors. The system uses a brake to slow down the movement of the screen when it reaches the end and a bumper to prevent the mosquito frame from hitting the rail.

Pleated mosquito nets are made of a special pleated mesh mounted on a structure made of aluminium profiles, making them durable and resistant to weather.

This system is characterised by extremely smooth movement, which makes its use very simple and does not require to use a lot of force. This product is ideal for patio doors and balcony spaces. Pleated mesh is supported by one of two types of sliding profiles. When closing, it folds like an accordion, which is partially hidden in the side guide rail, so it takes up little space. The advantage of this solution is the possibility to choose one of three types of lower profiles (standard, flat, oblique), allowing free movement.

The maximum dimensions of the side version are 4000 mm x 2700 mm.

Pleated mosquito nets are made of a special pleated mesh mounted on a structure made of aluminium profiles, making them durable and resistant to weather.

This system is characterised by extremely smooth movement, which makes its use very simple and does not require to use a lot of force. Vertical pleated mosquito nets are primarily designed for installation on window joinery. Closing and opening the mosquito net is very simple thanks to a system of springs installed in the lower guide rail. The tension elements have been hidden under a special masking profile, which has the ability to push and pull at any time.

The maximum dimensions of the vertical version are 2300 mm x 2000 mm.
